Hi, My name is Jen Blair and here is a little bit about me!

I grew up in a little town in northern Idaho until I was 12, when I landed in the Lake Sunapee region of New Hampshire. I love New Hampshire and have raised my children between the Loudon area and the Lake Winnipesaukee region. The lakes and mountains are two of the things I love most about this beautiful part of the country!

I discovered my love for photography after graduating high school, and it’s been quite a ride ever since! Over the years, I’ve also discovered that photography has been in my gene pool from the very beginning. My dad was a combat photographer in Vietnam, and my great-great-grandfather owned a photography studio in Natick, MA, in the mid-to-late 1800s. On my mother’s side, my grandfather photographed for Wurlitzer in North Tonawanda, NY, around the 1940s and ’50s. So, in a way, photography has come full circle through generations of my family!

After working in the retail photography industry and managing high-volume portrait studios in malls from 1993 to 2008, I decided to venture out on my own. In 2017, after years of building my business and clientele while working another full-time job, taking countless trainings and classes, and waiting for the kiddos to get a little older and into school, I finally went full-time—and here we are! After decades of photographing families and love stories, I’m still doing what I love.

Now that the kiddos are out there adulting in the world and spreading their wings, we’ve purchased a winter property in Fremont County, Colorado, with sweeping views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range. I’m so excited to expand my business and meet some new families in the West!

I look forward to working with you to create beautiful images that you’ll cherish for a lifetime. One thing I’ve learned in this life is that we only get one—so don’t take yourself too seriously, and make sure to take the pictures! Everyone has the best intentions, but you blink, and that moment is gone. Kids and families grow so fast, and before you know it, you’re an empty nester like me!
